The government of Nigeria as well as the health organizations has been taking measures to improve Nigeria Health services. Health of Nigerians is mostly affected by diphtheria, malaria, hepatitis A, rabies, typhoid, tetanus and yellow fever. These are the most common diseases in Nigeria.
In olden days, health care was primarily relegated to people who were experts in preparing herbal cures and medicines. The medicine men used to make medicines from herbs and roots. However, now with the advent of modern technology and medical facilities, treatment of diseases is much easier and better. Today, Nigeria health care is far better equipped to deal with any kind of medical emergencies.
There are quite a few non-governmental organizations, who educate the people regarding Nigeria Health conditions. The health care system in Nigeria is three-tiered, which are Primary Health Care, Secondary Health Care, and Tertiary Health Care.
Many non governmental agencies and volunteers are working hand in hand with the government of Nigeria to further the developmental process in the condition of Health in Nigeria.
