It is in the year 1981, that Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo took the initiative of constructing an institution that will have the primary motto of serving knowledge to all sections of the society. Covenant University in Nigeria established as a private university, in the year 1999. Dr. Bishop Oyedepo is the chancellor of this university and since the beginning, he has followed his main aim along with the other staff and faculty members of the University.
