Kumo is regarded as one among the largest Nigeria cities. It falls under the Bauchi state of Nigeria. The city of Kumo is home to 15679 people. Nigeria is situated between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer and the cities have different climatic conditions. The city of Kumo is also one of the biggest cities of Gombe, which is a traditional emirate. The Gombe emirate was founded by a follower of Usman dan Fodio named Buba Yero (Abubakar). Kumo is located on the northeastern part of Nigeria. The latitudinal and longitudinal extent of Kumo is 10.0452778 and 11,2130556 respectively. The elevation of Kumo is 1614 feet.
Kumo being the biggest town of the Gombe emirate, is considered to be the biggest commercial center of the locality. Besides local trading goods like peanuts or groundnuts, corn and cotton are also assembled here for trading purpose.
Other mercantile goods like the millet, cowpeas, cassava cultivated by the local people are brought here for buying and selling purpose. Even livestocks like goats, sheep, horses, fowls, donkeys reared by the Tangale, Hausa and Fulani people are also brought to Kumo for trading purpose.
