Ado Ekiti is a Nigerian city located in the southwestern part of Nigeria. It is more of a steadily developing town of Nigeria, situated in the state of Ekiti. The town is an important junction linking the Nigerian cities of Ikare, Ilesha, Ilawe, Ila, and Akure. Ado Ekiti is often simply called 'Ado'. The city of Ibadan is located some 182 kilometers from the Ado. It was the Ekiti people who founded the city. These people are a sub-type of the Yoruba people. Presently, the population count is more than 3,50,000 and thanks to the endeavor of the people, the economy of the region is looking up in favor of the people.
