Niger is a starkly beautiful desert country located in the western part of the African continent. The airports in Niger are capable of handling all types of commercial passenger planes that come from different parts of the world.
The airports in Niger could be divided into two categories on the basis of their flight and passenger handling capabilities. The two categories of Niger airports are the international airports and domestic airports. An international airport in Niger is capable of landing both long haul international flights as well as short domestic flights. The domestic airports of Niger are capable of accommodating only domestic flights that involve aircraft of comparatively smaller size.
The two international airports in Niger are situated in the capital city of Niamey and in the neighboring city of Agadez. The Diori Hamani International Airport at Niamey receives regular international flights from Charles-de-Gaulle airport of Paris in France. It also receives flights from Marseilles. The Mano Dayak International Airport receives flights from Europe as well as regular commercial passenger traffic from other African destinations like Tripoli and Casablanca. Air France and Delta Airlines operate regular prescheduled flights to Niamey and Agadez international airports. Other airports include domestic landing runways like Arlit, Diffa and Tillabery.
