Marimbas of Nicaragua are made from hardwood plates that are placed over either on bamboo or metal tubes, which differs in length to create various tones. The marimbas are played with two or four hammers that forms as a background score. The marimba players are usually associated with a bass fiddle, a guiter and a guitarrilla, which is a small guiter. The marimba instruments are generally played by the performers in a sitting pose as they need to hold the instrument on their knees. The music produced of marimba instrument is truly pleasant, which elevates a feeling of being in Nicaragua with its scenic beauty and exotic beaches.
