Narayangarh in Nepal lies in the middle portion of the country. It is a city in the Chitwan district of Nepal and lies adjacent to Bharatpur that is the district headquarter. Narayangarh lies to the west of Kathmandu, the capital city of the state of Nepal.
The city of Narayangarh lies in between 27° 40' 60 North latitude and 84° 25' 0 East longitude. The altitude of the Narangarh city is about 202 meters. The Narayangarh in Nepal extends over an area of 554 square kilometers approximately.
Narayangarh lies on the bank of River Narayani, at the point where the latter leaves the Mahabharat Range. The Narayani River drains the locality of Narayangarh along with its branches like the Budhi Gandaki Trishuli Rivers, the Kali Gandaki and Seti rivers.
Narayangarh is a significant trading center of the Terai region and also acts as the gateway to Nepal's Royal Chitwan National Park lying in close vicinity of the city.
The city is well connected by roadways to the rest of Nepal. There are a number of towns and cities lying close to Narayangarh. These are Bharatpur, Patlahara and Maruwa Ghat. There is a small airfield in Narayangarh that connects it to Kathmandu by air. Some of the airports in close proximity to the city include Pokhara, Simara, Gorakhpur and also the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
