Inaruwa is the capital of Sunsari district in Nepal. Situated over the Mahendra highway, Inaruwa is placed nearby the Koshi bridge. Inaruwa is located at an altitude of two hundred and forty six feet which is equivalent to seventy four meters above the sea level. The latitude and longitude of Inaruwa measure 26° 30'N and 86° 49' 60''N, respectively. The population of the region around Inaruwa is approximately equal to fifty six thousand bight hundred and seventy nine. Inaruwa comes under the Bagmati zone.

Inaruwa is one of the liveliest towns in the country. Inaruwa in Nepal is well connected to the nearby cities of Rajbiraj, Hanumannagar, Barhara and Kunauli. These cities are located at the western, eastern, northern and southern borders of Inaruwa respectively. Inaruwa at Nepal is easily accessible from the nearby airports of Biratnagar and Janakpur.
