Nepal Airlines helps in the smooth and convenient transportation of the tourists both from abroad and from within the country of Nepal. The domestic airlines of Nepal serve the movement within the country and the international ones serve outside the country. The airline of Nepal was established in the month of July in the year 1958. At that time it was known by the name of Nepal Airlines Corporation. The Nepal Airlines initially started its journey with a single air craft named Douglas DC-3. In the initial stages the domain of the Nepal Airlines was restricted to the areas of Biratnagar, Simara, Pokhara and few Indian cities like Delhi, Patna and Kolkata.
To ensure effective mode of transportation another airline was added to Nepal's Airline's fleet- Fokker F27. In the year 1970 two aircrafts- Pilatus Porter and Twin Otter joined the fleet of airlines of Nepal. These two airlines facilitate the journey in the interior areas and the mountainous regions of Nepal. In the year 1972 the Kathmandu runway was extended and two new airlines- Boeing 727 and Hawker Siddeley HS-748 were launched. Later on, the Boeing 757 replaced the Boeing 727.
The airlines of Nepal operate from some famous airports both domestic and international. These include Bajhang Airport, Rukumkot Airport, Dhangarhi Airport, Jumla Airport, Jomsom Airport, Phaplu Airport, Kageldanda Airport. The international ones include Hong Kong International Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and Dubai International Airport.
