Nepal Government plays an important role in the running of the administrative function of the country. Nepal Government is responsible for the smooth running of the electoral system and in selecting efficient and able statesmen for effective management of the political affairs. From 15th December 1960 onwards Nepal tried to form the representative form of government.
Previously the country of Nepal was ruled by the king. Hence, the common people were denied the basic rights and the effective formulation of the government of Nepal suffers a lot. This type of ruling the country was not accepted by the common people. As the common people of Nepal are not very educated, it was easy for the king to exploit them by imposing the autocratic kind of ruling.
As the government of Nepal failed to live up to the expectation of the people, the people lost all faith in the goodwill of the government. Moreover, as the people were not allowed to participate in the forming of the government directly, they were not interested in any sort of meeting or consultation. Ultimately they decided to introduce the democratic form of government to make the formulation of government more clear and transparent. Presently, the people got deeply involved in making their own government and hence they are very much interested in the happenings of the political affairs.
