Namibia is famous for a wide range of animals which inhabit the land. Consisting of numerous species of animals, the wildlife of Namibia is typical to that of the Savannah of Africa. Animals of Namibia include well known species like Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Elephants, Antelopes, Mongoose, Jackals, Wild Dogs etc. Besides these Namibia is the home of many rare species of animals like the Black Rhino, Oribi, the Puku Antelope, Antbear, the Gemsbok, Sprinkbok, Burchell's Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Mountain Zebra, Tsessebe etc.

Animals of Namibia find in the country a natural habitat favorable for their existence and evolution. Many regions of Namibia abound in various kinds of Namibia animals. A number of animals in Namibia roam the deserts while most of them are found in the national parks and the wildlife reserves of the country. Some of the animals of Namibia also inhabit the barren coastal areas.
