For the age group of six to sixteen
Namibia education is mandatory for a period of ten years. Namibia education includes schools of Namibia, University of Namibia, Polytechnic of Namibia, etc.
The duration of primary education in Namibia is seven years and the duration of secondary education is five years.
In the year 1998 the primary schools of Namibia had 400,325 students and the secondary schools had 115,237 students. 80% children were recruited in the primary school of Namibia and 34 % children were recruited in the secondary school in 1998.
The illiteracy rate of adult in Namibia during the year 2000 was 17.9%.
The adult students of Namibia attended tertiary educational institutes.
