Bazaruto Mozambique



Known for its idyllic beaches, turquoise waters and wide range of flora and fauna, Bazaruto Mozambique is definitely one of the best Beach destinations in the world. Bazaruto Mozambique includes Bazaruto, Benguerra and the Magaruque Islands and also the smaller Island of Santa Carolina. The little abode of peace, Bazaruto Mozambique is 35 Kilometers in length and 7 Kilometers at the widest point. The Island of Bazaruto Mozambique has a very diverse landscape, while one part of the Island is marked by sand dunes the remaining part is characterized by thicket, grassland, scrub and wetland. There are a number of marine species which includes dolphins, dugongs, humpback whales, marine turtles. The Coral reefs in the Island is a home to a wide range of colorful fishes.

Santa Carolina

Often called the ‘Paradise Island’ by the honeymooners, Santa Carolina is a Beach of rock fringes and Coral reefs. The blue waters and the underwater panorama make it an ideal place for snorkeling and diving. There is provision for accommodation in the Island so one can choose to spend more than a day at this beautiful Island.

Bazaruto Island

This Island is characterized by shores covered with cashew and coconut trees. With large inland lakes and huge dunes, this island is a home to many water birds and animals. An integral part of this Island is its hundred years old light house which signals many ships passing through the channel. The Island is equipped with Indigo Bay Island Resort; therefore accommodation is not a problem.
