Oceanographic Museum of Monaco was established in the year 1910.
Oceanographic Museum is a museum of marine sciences. Founded by Prince Albert I, this museum is a monument which includes unique architectural characteristics. The Oceanographic Musuem in Monaco is a grand structure, with its magnificent front structure, rising 279 feet above the sea level. This museum of marine sciences took eleven years to build and it is made up of 100,000 tons of stone bring from La Turbie. The museum is a home to noteworthy collections of varied species of sea fauna like:

Two floors of the Oceanographic museum at Monaco remains open for the public. All of the remarkable collections of this museum have been gathered by the founder of the museum, Prince Albert. The museum houses all these collections in both skeletal and in stuffed forms. Oceanographic Museum of Monaco also includes a great range of objects that are related to the sea, like sea animal skeletons, model ships, weapons, tools, and many more.
Monaco Oceanographic Museum remains closed on the Formula 1 Grand-Prix day. The Oceanographic Museum has different opening timings for different months of the year. In the months of January, February and March the Oceanographic Museum remains from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and again in the months of October, November an December. Whereas from April to September, the museum remains open for the visitors from 9:30 AM to7:00 PM.
