Monaco legislature organizes meeting at least for two times of a year to vote on the budget of the country. The National Council of Monaco also meets every year to vote on the bills projected by the government of prince. The executive orders, which are also known as ordinances are considered in the Council of Government. Within eighty days of the approval of the ordinances they must be passed on to the prince for his signature.
The signature of the prince of Monaco makes the ordinances officially enforceable. But if the prince failed to express resistance against the ordinance within ten days of the submission of ordinance, it gradually becomes valid. Last Parliamentary elections of Monaco were held on 9 February 2003. A three opposition party's coalition called the Union for Monaco completely succeeded the election against their key adversaries known as the Rally for Monaco.
