Prince Rainer of Monaco was born on 31st May 1923, and became the sovereign ruler of the state on 9th May, 1949. Born of Prince Pierre and Princess Charlotte, Prince Rainier was popularly known as Prince Rainier III of Monaco. The educational career of Prince Rainier of Monaco started in the Summer Fields School in St. Leonards-on-Sea in England. After completing his education there, Prince Rainier attended Institute Le Rosey in Rolle and Gstad in Switzerland. After the completion of his studies there, he moved on to the France University of Montpellier, from where he earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts. After finishing his career as a student, Monaco's Prince Rainier joined the army of France designated as a foreign serviceman in the year 1944.
The wife of Prince Rainier of Monaco was Grace Kelly, the popular and beautiful Hollywood actress. They married in the year 1956 through an extravagant ceremony that came to be dubbed as the wedding of the century. The name of the son of Prince Rainier is Prince Albert and the name of his daughters are Princess Carolina and Stephanie. Stephanie is the younger daughter of the king. But in the year 1982, Prince Grace and Stephanie died in a car accident.
After ascending the throne of Monaco, Rainier tried to made the country a popular commercial center. He tried to develop Monaco as a famous tourist destination of the world. In the initial years when Rainier was ascended to the throne, Aristotle Onassis, a Greek shipping businessman captured Société des Bains de Mer. But in the year 1964 Rainier again got back the control of Société. He was also one of the makers of the new constitution of 1962. By this constitution the authority of the sovereign ruler was much censored and diminished. Rainer, Prince of Monaco died on 6th of April in the year 2005 due to failure of heart, kidneys and lungs.
