Moldova Peace Corps




The Peace Corps is a centralized as well as independent agency of United States which also has its base in Moldova. The main motto of the Peace Corps Moldova is to promote world peace
and friendship. The willing people of the United States are the volunteers of this agency who are willing to help the people of developing and underdeveloped countries to meet their needs for trained manpower. The Peace Corps includes more than 187,000 volunteers who serve in one thirty nine countries. Moldova is one of them.

Peace Corps Moldova volunteers work in Moldova in collaboration with the local community members. Its volunteers provide service in the field of community development, HIV, youth outreach, education, information technology and the environment. The volunteers of Peace Corps Moldova include both the college students and retired citizens.

Peace Corps volunteers of Moldova taught English language to the elementary school children of Zambia so that they could participate in the computer learning programs to be initiated by the Peace Corps in Moldova. Peace Corps in Moldova also promotes HIV awareness in Malawi as well as works on soil preservation in Panama. Peace Corps of Moldova also works as a counseling agency for teenagers in Belize. It has launched an Armenian computer center in Moldova. The volunteers of Peace Corps Moldova teach chemistry in a Ghanaian high school of Moldova. By giving these services the volunteers of Peace Corps also get the opportunity to study a new language and living in a new cultural atmosphere they and develop their skills of leadership.
