- Nefo Cave- is an historical site in Weno and lies at a proximal distance of 50 km from the governor's residence. The cave nestles a six inch Vickers gun which was used by the Japanese to guard the entry to the north.
- Sapuk Lighthouse- gives a panoramic view of the strategic North east Passage and was built by the Japanese in 1930s. The building walls give the evidence of the bombing by the American aircraft as they still retain the pockmark of bullet and bomb.
- Mt Tonachau- is the highest peak of Weno and the mountain is the legendary home of the god Souworiras. Locals believe that the mountain is the head of an octopus with tentacles stretched across the lagoon. From the vantage point of the mountain gives a spectacular view of the surroundings.
- Japanese WWII Communication Center- is an historical structure and presently lies in the complex of Xavier High School. The building due to its massive thickness survived the bombings from the US bombers.
- The Tonotan Guns and Caves- is a natural cave of Weno but was modified and enlarged by the Japanese forces to install massive naval guns and rails for transportation.
