Triolet



Triolet is one of the most beautiful places in Mauritius. It is located at the intersection of 20° 30' South and 57° 31' East. The nearby Mauritius cities and towns to it are Trio in the West, Mont Choisy in the North, Fond du Sac and Rouge Terre in the East and Solitude and Bon Air in the South. The coastal roads connect Triolet to the important cities of Mauritius like Port Louis, Mapou.
Triolet, the longest village in the island of Mauritius attracts quite a big number of tourists all round the year. The soothing tropical climate is a boon for the travelers, as they can travel comfortably. However winters, which last from May to November are always preferred.

One of the convenient ways to reach Triolet is to avail the flights to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Plaisance. After landing in this airport to the south of Triolet, the tourists can take taxis or buses to make an entry to the attractive village.

There are a number of attractive sites in and around Triolet. The attractions of Triolet include the beautiful beaches of Trou-aux-Biches with white sand and blue water. It takes merely 5 minutes to reach this exotic beach from Triolet. The water sports can be enjoyed at the fullest measure in the beach.

Other attractions include the Hindu temples, among which the first one was built in 1819 in the honor of Lord Shiva, Brahma, Krishna, Muruga, Vishnu and Ganesha. This Maheswarnath Temple attracts a large number of Hindu pilgrims during the religious festival of Shivratri in February-March.

A few meters away from Triolet lies one more attraction namely Aventure du Sucre. This sugar museum displays a number of items related to the factory of sugar at Beau Plan. A guided tour of this museum will unravel many unknown facts on how sugar is produced from sugarcanes.

The hotels like Trou Aux Villages offer a luxurious stay. The exotic seafood in Triolet is something, which the tourists crave for.
