Sikasso is the second largest city of Mali lying in the southern part of the country. This capital of the Sikasso Region has the latitudinal coordinates of 11°19’N and longitudinal coordinates of 5°40’W. The altitude of Sikasso is 410 meters above the sea level. Few of the important cities located near Sikasso include Zanadougou, Banankoni, Pemperena, Missirikoro, Konzanso, Bougoula and Kaboila. The capital of Mali, Bamako is not at a far distance too from Sikasso. Most of the overseas tourists take the international flights to Bamako and then take buses or taxis to reach Sikasso.
The coastal countries of Benin, Togo, Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana make the international borders of Sikasso in Mali.
