Bla is one of the important towns in the Segou Region of Mali. The transportation from Bla to the other important Malian cities is quite convenient. The two rivers serving Bla are the Bani River and the Niger River. These rivers play an important role in the economy and transportation of Bla. The agriculture of Bla is largely dependent on these waterways. These rivers have helped the people of Bla in taking up fishing as another primary occupation.
