Sub Aqua was formed as an organization that would impart diving lessons. It was established in Maldives in 1974.The Sub Aqua in Maldives appoints professional diving instructors who train learners to become adept at the art of diving .Those who are more than enthusiastic about this adventure sport are trained to become professionals. The Sub Aqua has had collaboration with some of the resorts on the island of Maldives and provides the very best in technique and diving equipments.
One such diving center is the Sub Aqua Rangali Dive Center at the Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa. Sub Aqua has been successfully running this particular diving center since its inception in 1992. The diving sessions begin 11 in the morning .It is a mandatory session for every one and have to be done before beginning with boat dives. The Sub Aqua appoints multi lingual trainers and they are present from 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening, all round the year, to guide the learners.
The Hilton Rangali is one of the best diving sites around Maldives as there is comparatively less traffic. The Sub Aqua imparts driving lessons in a number of languages including French, Italian, English, German, Spanish and Japanese. The various diving courses imparted at this center comprise of the Advanced Open Water Diver and Open Water Diver courses. These are weekly courses. The training imparted is at par with the PADI standards.
The other Sub Aqua Dive Center in Maldives includes one in Thulhagiri and Angaga.
