One can witness a diverse array of flora and fauna in the park. The major attraction of the place is Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in South East Asia. The indigenous people believe that the mountain is sacred and spirits of their ancestors inhabit the top of the mountain.

Penang: Located off the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Penang is an island known for its pristine, clear beaches that include Pantai Kerachut, Muka Head, and Teluk Kampi. The rich multi-cultural history of the island draws the interest of many a travellers who come exploring the country's cultural roots. Toy Museum, Penang Durian Farm, Penang Bird Park, War Museum, and the Snake Temple are some of the other major tourist attractions in Penang. The Penang Floral Festival held at the Penang Botanic Gardens every year makes for a beautiful sight and draws a number of tourists.



The island is also well known for being the "food paradise" of Malaysia.

Redang: Lying off the coast of Terengganu state in Malaysia, Redang is a popular island destination for scuba divers. Tioman: One of the most beautiful islands in the world, Tioman is situated off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. The island is home to a number of monitor lizards and domestic cats. The jungle treks are organised very often and are a great adventure. The beaches along the island provide myriad recreational opportunities including scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing.

Perhentian Islands: Located off the coast of northeastern Malaysia, the Perhentian Islands are a group of beautiful, coral-fringed islands. Home to coral and fish, the Pernentians also comprise sea turtles and species of shark. The islands provide some great opportunities for diving and excellent snorkeling.
