Nyala Lodge

Nyala lodge is one of the finest places for accommodation in Malawi. Quality services and cordial behavior of the employees here win over the hearts of the guests. The lodge is in the Leonge National Park, one of the major wildlife reserves in Malawi. The place is far from the din and bustles of the city life yet not isolated from the modern amenities. Nyala Lodge is only seventy five kilometers away from Blantyre, one of the two major cities in Malawi. The lodge was previously maintained by the Malawi government but now it is under the governance of Jambo Africa, a Malawi based private company formed in 2001.

When they took over the lodge was in a pretty bad shape. It had gone through some renovation and re furnishing. The guests here can find beautiful antelopes. The Nyala lodge is also the home of some other wild animals like Bush Buck, Duiker, Red Buck and Buffalos. Different species of three hundred birds also live here. The lodge offers game drives and walking safaris for the guests within the area of the park and guests can also go for an excursion to Majete Wildlife Reserve, Shire River or Mwabvi Wildlife Reserve.

The Nyala lodge in Malawi has ten en suite chalets that have overhead fans and mosquito nets. There is also a small splash pool that helps the guests to chill out in a hot day. There is also a bar and a restaurant for the resident guests. Each of the chalets has hot and cold water facilities. The restaurant inside the lodge provides both international and local cuisines.

The authorities are planning to make some provision for the campers as well. The guests who want to feel the warmth of Africa must come here and enjoy the beauty of nature yet unspoiled by the greed of mankind.
