Mvuu Lodge

Located within the Liwonde National Park in Malawi, the Mvuu Lodge or the Mvuu Wilderness Lodge as it is popularly called, provides an excellent opportunity to the tourists to witness wildlife from extremely close quarters. The lodge is located on the banks of the Shire river, on the northern fringes of the park.

The Mvuu Wilderness Lodge in Malawi is camouflaged by the thick vegetation that grows along the river banks. The Lodge consists of four tents. These provide comfortable accommodation. The rooms are replete with all the facilities and luxuries like clean sanitation, good food, comfortable beds and luxurious upholstery. The rooms provide breathtaking view of the adjoining lagoon. The Lodge can accommodate ten tourists at a time. There is also a special honeymoon suite made of thatch and stone.

Dining at the Mvuu Lodge is made all the more exciting by the fact that the dining arena is located on an elevated platform and provides a wonderful view of the Shire river flowing by. A walk down the wooden planks of the dining area leads one to the swimming pool which is carved out of natural rocks.

The guests at the Mvuu Lodge get to indulge in a host of exciting adventure sports owing to the favorable location of the lodge. The lodge has provisions for boat trips and safaris through the park. The nocturnal boat trips add to the adventure. One can always catch a glimpse of elephants, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, leopards and other wild animals roaming about in their natural habitat.

Other recreational activities at the Mvuu Lodge include bicycle rides to the nearby villages. The Mvuu Lodge is often the choice of several tourists who want to enjoy the comforts of a luxury hotel within natural surroundings.
