Lilongwe

Lilongwe is the capital city of the Republic of Malawi. Lilongwe is located in the central part of the nation. Lilongwe city of Malawi is located at 13"59'S, 33"47'E. As per the census of the year 2003 the Lilongwe city includes a total population of 597,619. Lilongwe city of Malawi was formed in the later part of 1960s and the early part of 1970s.

This city of Malawi is a perfect combination of classic as well as modern city. Some parts of Lilongwe city display all signs of modernity which includes attractive shopping malls, offices and embassies. On the other hand some parts of the Lilongwe city include markets, cafes, bus stations and appealing bars and restaurants. Here in this city of Malawi you can also find numerous cafes and restaurants located inside as well as around the shopping centers of this city.

Lilongwe is not popular as a tourist destination of the world as this city of Malawi does not include many attractions for travelers. This is basically a residential area of the country and is well connected with all modes of transportations. Lilongwe is also a home to a Nature Sanctuary, located on the Kenyatta Road, of Malawi.
