The word Kaya Mawa means "maybe tomorrow" and the lodge here is located towards the southern most end of the island. This lodge offers one the chance of enjoying a very comfortable stay in the midst of an ambiance marked by its traditional style. Kaya Mawa lodge has been built by hand entirely with the help of the people of the local community. This eco friendly lodge in Malawi has seven cottages along with an island. This is a private honeymoon island.
The cottages that are found here have hand carved mahogany bed and bathroom with a double tub and hot water shower. The primary beach here is private and has a bar with thatched roof.
Tourists here can also enjoy a number of activities. Rods can be availed by them for the purpose of fishing. Safari rides on boats designed in a traditional manner or on canoes that have been dug out, is also an experience of its kind. Also found here are many boats that have been imported like laser, windsurfer.
Found in the lakes here are many species of fish some of which happen to be very rare. Likoma island and Chizumulu islands are believed to have the best dive sites in the lake.
