Fishermans Rest

Malawi is a country full of wildlife reserves and natural parks. But the Fisherman's Rest is a place that stands apart from the others.
This is a nature reserve comparatively small in size yet it attracts the travelers for its variety. This place is only a twenty minutes drive from Blantyre, one of the two major cities in Malawi considered as the country's economic capital. The travelers need to go to the south east from Blantyre to reach here and lost themselves in the lap of nature. The can enjoy a great view of the Great Rift Valley and Shire River from here. This nature park is the home of a number of birds and other wild creatures. There are also a variety of orchids and other plants found here. But this place is particularly known for preserving antelopes. In African continent, this beautiful and naive creature had become the target of the poachers. Within a few tears, the government has no other option but to declare them as an endangered species and made a few wildlife reserves to take care of them. Since then, this place played a pivotal role in preserving the antelopes and it is due to Fisherman's Rest and such other reserves that these animals can breathe free again.

These fifty acres of private land has a luxury hotel lodge and cottage inside. There is also a swimming pool, gift shop and tea room for the guests. The lodge provides room services and the guests can also opt for a self catering accommodation. The guests have to take a walk inside the park to enjoy its beauty. The Fisherman's Rest authorities can also arrange small board meetings and conferences for the business tour guests. The guests can opt for a taxi or charter service from the Chilekha Airport in Blantyre.
The place is perfect for those who love to enjoy the holidays far from the stress of twenty first century life.
