The Dzalanyama Forest Reserve is densely covered with different trees. The forest, therefore, is a favorite place for the wild birds. In fact, many rare birds that considered as endangered species these can be found in Dzalanyama Forest Reserve. Some of these rare species include the Olive-headed weaver and the Stierling's Woodpecker. Except these two, various other birds and wild animals are found in this forest. There is a lodge inside the forest called the "Dzalanyama Forest Lodge". The lodge is under private management and near the lodge are some natural pools where you can take a quick bath. The lodge has four bedrooms and a dining area. There is a fire place and a gas freezer inside the lodge.
