Domwe Island

The Domwe Island is considered to be the largest in Lake Malawi. The island is a unique amalgamation of African greenery and island. The Domwe Island in Malawi is estranged from the main islands by Ilala Gap and is densely populated with mammals. Many a time, this island becomes dry because the level of the Lake decreases.

The island has a camp on its western side. This camp of the Domwe Island at Malawi comprises of five big safari tents equipped with hammock and view-decks. The camp is made out of thatch, timber and canvas and represents eco-architecture. The five spacious safari tents are outfitted with a dinning area and a bar. Tents are usually made on high rocks or timber decks that are found around the island. The tents of this camp have en-suite toilets and the bathing area has buckets filled with warm water.
