Recently, some of these active nongovernmental organizations have initiated to move to the court of Malawi to ban an African company called Paladin Africa. This company of Africa is a uranium mining company located at Kayelekera in Karonga. The Malawi NGOs want to stop the activities of this uranium mining company as they think that this project can harm the people of Malawi.

The main mission of the USAID is to provide long-term supports and equitable economic growth to Malawi. USAID attempts to bring development in different sectors of nation's economy like agriculture and trade.
