Madagascar Institutions provide primary, secondary as well as higher education. Institutes for special courses are also there. Some of the institutes are owned by government while others are private institutes. Some of the renowned institutes are as follows:
- American School of Antananarivo: Founded in 1969, this co-educational school provides education for students of all nationalities. The board of directors (7 members) runs the school. The medium of instruction is English. The syllabus includes language, art, science, math, social studies, music, computers and French. Special education service is limited but student can also learn about health, physical education and instrumental music. The high school offer advanced placement courses.
- National Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Techniques: This famous Institute of Madagascar provides higher education. The faculty is excellent. The number of students is also quite satisfactory. Theoretical as well as practical classes are taken by teachers.
- University of Antananarivo: Established in 1960, this university is very popular. The area of studies includes literature, art, science, humanities etc.
- University of Fianarantsoa: This renowned university was established in 1977. The huge student reflects the quality teaching of this university.
- University of Toliary: This University is quite preferred by people because of its marvelous faculties and unique way of teaching.
- University of North Madagascar: The area of teaching covers literature, science, humanities, art etc. The atmosphere of this university is quite appreciable.
- University of Toamasina: Being established in 1977 this university serves a large population of Madagascar. People come from other places as well for higher education.
- University of Mahajanga: This University was also established in 1977. The expert faculty of this university arranges seminar and workshops other than taking regular classes.
