St George's Church in Macedonia is mainly known for the beautiful fresco paintings found inside the church. The present location of St George's Church, happened to be the site for an ancient shrine of Macedonia. This church was renovated by King Milutin in 1313.
The awe inspiring fresco of St George's Church were painted by Eftihie and Mihajlo. These fresco paintings were drawn during 1317 to 18 by these two painters. Eftihie and Mihajlo were renowned painters in the Balkan during the Byzantine period. St George's Church in Macedonia is reflective of Macedonia's art and architecture during the Byzantine times.
