Macedonia Hunting amidst the lush green surroundings with thick flora and fauna is quite exciting and adventurous. This mountainous country on the Balkan plateau serves as the best hunting ground in the region. To enjoy easy hunting, one needs to reach the top of the Karadzica Mountains that are surrounded with beautiful oak trees. The different hunting grounds at Macedonia are Lesnica, Jasen, Polakio and Milisin.
Hunting in Macedonia is best suited between 1st September and 20 th November. The pre hunting season is between 2nd august and 11th October. The animals that can be hunted in this period includes wild pigeons, wild ducks, quails, turtle- doves and snipes. During the hunting season, wild ducks, wild boars, wild geese, rabbits, and partridges are allowed to hunt. The ones which are are under strictly restricted for hunting purposes are deer, bears, eagles, white and grey herons, doves, storks, does and
griffon vultures.
The total number of hunting grounds in Macedonia is 253, out of which 145 are used for small game and 108 are for large game. Macedonia Hunting is facilitated with 63 hunting grounds that can be hired for recreation by local as well as foreign hunters. An annual membership fee must be paid to participate in the game of hunting.
