It has been ranked the 5th best bass fishing lake in the US and is a must on every tourist's Georgia travel itinerary. Apart from fishing, one can enjoy all traditional water activities like, boating, skiing, canoeing, diving, etc.
The city also hosts many state tennis tournaments at the City Tennis Center and the Floyd Tennis Complex. The Willis Park in Bainbridge features a Victorian Gazebo that serves to host many events such as the British Bass Band, Brown Bag Concerts, etc. The city also houses the Bainbridge College, a unit of the University of Georgia.
