Over the years, the
Lithuania science and technology has developed to a great extent facilitating the significant research works carried out in different institutions of Lithuania. One of the most important science research institutes is the Lithuanian Academy of Science featuring various departments namely, mathematics, physics, biology, agriculture, medicine and many more. Several other research institutes are attached to the reputed Lithuanian Academy of Science. Four other institutions in Lithuania conduct research works in forestry and medicine.
With the advancement in
Lithuania science and technology, there has been an impressive progress in the research works of the scientists. Lithuania had around 2,028 engineers and scientists during 1987-97 engaged in the development of Lithuania science and technology.
