Ice hockey in Lithuania is one of the popular sports in the country. The sport is taken care of in the country by the Lithuania Ice Hockey Federation. It is affiliated to the International Ice Hockey Federation.
The national body is concerned with the promotion of the game in the country. The national ice hockey team of Lithuania has done extremely well in the international arena. The game is extensively played in the junior level also. The junior Lithuanian ice hockey national team had won several tournaments in the likes of the European Championships played in 1994-95. The team performed extremely well and won the gold medal. It also managed to win the World Championship for consecutive years from 1996-98. The junior team also acquired the bronze medal consecutively in 1997-99. There are a number of talented players in the national Lithuania ice hockey team.
