Cities in Lithuania

Lithuania consists of several cities which have been founded before the eighteenth century. The location of the cities in Lithuania are determined by transport routes and trading facilities.
Most of the cities in Lithuania are small and are evenly distributed throughout the country. The smaller towns of the country are known as "miesteliar" and the villages are known as " kaimas".
