Kretinga Museum, Lithuania



One of the most popular and splendid museums of Lithuania is the Kretinga Museum which houses a vast collection of diverse range of articles. The museum was established in the year 1935.
In 1992, the Kretinga Museum was shifted from Franciscan monastery building to Kretinga Estate. Covering an area of 43.1 hectares, the estate houses monument buildings, parks, exhibitions etc.

Kretinga Museum in Lithuania displays a variety of collections ranging from archaeological relics to numismatics, collections of 17th to 19th century art and paintings, folk sculpture, domestic articles from historical ages etc. The museums houses a number of expositions. These include the following:
