Art Museum, Lithuania



Lithuanian Art Museum was established in 1933 and is the biggest among the national museums of the country. It preserves and exhibits a vast collection of art works and pieces of art.
These specimens of art that are housed in the Lithuanian Art Museum are historically and artistically extremely valuable. Lithuanian and foreign art works including fine art and applied art are preserved and displayed in the exhibition halls of the museum.

A storehouse of Lithuanian folk art, the Lithuanian Art Museum of Lithuania represents the history of art as well as the various styles and genres of art in the country. The museum hold temporary art exhibitions which feature the artworks of many Lithuanian and foreign artists. It also organizes youth's educational program.



Lithuanian Art Museum contains a wide range of artworks and specimens of art that have been collected and preserved over the years. The various exhibitions of Lithuanian Art Museum include Vilnius Picture Gallery, Museum of Applied Art, Clock Museum, Pranas Domsaitis Gallery, Radvila Palace, Miniature Museum and Palanga Amber Museum. Each of these contain and display different collections ranging from folk art to foreign art, archaeological findings etc. The museum is a storehouse of a wealth of art collections and is a must visit for the tourists in Lithuania.
