Mohales Hoek

Mohale’s Hoek is regarded as one of the most important town in the country of Lesotho. It is the capital of the Mohale’s Hoek District and has been named after the brother of Moshoeshoe, who handed the land over to the British in the year 1884.

Mohale’s Hoek is surrounded by the Mokhele Mountains. This small town of Lesotho is agriculturally very rich. Some of the crops produced in Mohale’s Hoek are maize, sorghum and wheat.

The Mokhele Mountains, which surround the entire town of Mohale’s Hoek, provides enchanting views to the tourists. This makes the place one of the most popular tourist destinations of Lesotho. The beautiful locales of the town can be visited by car as well as by foot.

In Mohale’s Hoek, accommodation can be availed in the hotels and guest houses located in the area. The local people also often offer shelter to the visitors of the place. People can board at the Hotel Mount Maluti, where they are offered comfortable accommodation at reasonable rate.
