South Lebanon Sports is an important part of Lebanon-Sports and Fitness. The active endeavor of the whole community of South Lebanon and the enthusiasm and participation of all has resulted in progress in the field of sports in South Lebanon.
The various programs provided by the South Lebanon Athletics Association help in fostering the talent of individual players and help in the growth of a sense of team spirit. The programs are concentrated mainly around five sporting activities-Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Swimming.
Basketball- The basketball program for boys belonging to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. The players are coached by volunteers and they participate in competitions within the program. The name of the program is Falcon Boys Youth Basketball Program.
Baseball- The baseball programs are held in spring. Children belonging to the age group of 4 to 15 years are given the opportunity to enroll in this program. Depending on the age, the program is divided into sub-groups like Little Tykes, Mustangs, T Ball, Pony's, Midget's and Teeners.
Softball- Meant exclusively for girls above the age of 6years, softball programs are provided during the spring season. Another softball program is arranged in autumn. The program is divided into two sections, slow and fast pitch.
Soccer- During the autumn soccer programs are provided for children above the age of 4years. The introductory group is for younger children while the inter-league is meant for older ones. Indoor and spring soccer programs are also organized.
Swimming- The training program for swimming is done by trained swimmers and is available at particular times. Lifeguards ensure the safety of the swimmers.
