Lebanon People


The Lebanon people are multiethnic by nature. According to the latest Census, the total population of Lebanon is around 3,562,699. The official language of the people of Lebanon is Arabic. French, English and Armenian are also widely spoken by the native people in various corners of Lebanon. English is however used in the field of education and business. The major religion that is practiced by most of the people of Lebanon is Islam. Christianity is another very popular religion practiced in the country. Besides these two, there are other religion too such as Judaism. This is also practiced by a small section of the Lebanon population. The population of the country is spread over the urban and the rural regions of Lebanon.

The Lebanon society is comprised of several religious and ethnic groups. Most of the people in the country belong to the Armenian ethnic group. The rest belong to Kurdish, Assyrian and other ethnic races. The people in Lebanon are involved in various professions. People work in the industries, service sectors and run independent business farms to earn their livelihood. A major part of the population is involved in agriculture. The coastline of the country has a dense population living by the sea. Most of these people are traders and some are also involved in fishing.

The Lebanon people have a rich cultural and traditional background. They are known for their great sense of music and literature. They also take interest in theaters, films and various literary works.
