Lebanese Tabbouleh is a Lebanese salad and is acts as a side dish due to its awesome taste. Lebanese food is unique as each of them has surprisingly unique taste and is consumers delight. Tabbouleh of Lebanon is healthy conglomeration of burgul (cracked wheat) with other fresh ingredients and they really make a nutritious and healthy food.
Ingredients required for preparing Lebanese Tabbouleh are given below:
- 225 gm bulgur/ cracked wheat
- 125 gm of fresh parsley
- 4 spring onions
- 3 sprigs of mint leaves
- 4tbs of olive oil
- 11/ 2 lemon juice and salt to taste
- Pepper as per taste
- Lemon wedges and fresh mint for garnishing
Method of preparation of Lebanese Tabbouleh:
Cover the burgul with cold water in such a way that it remains 2.5 cm above the wheat and leave it for half hour to soak the water. Later on drain the water with the help of a sieve and spread it in a tea towel so that it dries a bit. Take the parsley and mint and blend them together in a food processor. Now mix the burgul, parsley, spring onions, lemon rind, and olive oil to the mixture and add a dash of salt and pepper as per the taste. The Lebanese Tabbouleh is almost ready and finally garnishes it with lemon wedges and fresh mint sprigs before serving.
