LBC Lebanon is one of the top TV channel. LBC was launched on 23 August, 1985, in Beirut. It was Lebanon's first private TV channel. The political unrest of the country had much effect on LBC. The office was attacked several times. Though LBC faced a tough time in the beginning gradually it has become one of the most important and popular channels of Lebanon. After the civil war was over, LBC found new opportunities to grow in the media section.
LBC Lebanon renamed itself to LBC International. They have also launched LBCSAT. It is a free satellite channel. It is the top channel of the Middle East. Next they launched LBC Europe, LBC America and LBC Australia. All these channels come under the LBC group.
LBC broadcasts news with the help of its wide spread network. Other than news the range of its programs vary from movie to sports, music to entertainment, cooking programs to debates, and dance to interviews. General programs are being shown throughout the day. LBC Lebanon includes popular programs like Basmet Watan, The Original Tash Ma Tash, Deal or no Deal, Ya Leil Ya Ein, Iktashafna il Baroud etc. The TRP of these programs are quite high.
LBC is one of the most favorite channels of people. The specialty of LBC of Lebanon is that it is quite sensitive to the cultural heritage of the Arab world.
