Azerbaijan is located in between 40° 30' North Latitude and 47° 30' East Longitude. Latitude and longitude of Azerbaijan has given the country a unique climatic condition. Due to the latitudinal and longitudinal extension of Azerbaijan nine out of the eleven major climatic zones in the world can be seen in Azerbaijan. In different parts of Azerbaijan different types of landscapes can also be noticed as a result of Azerbaijan's latitude and longitude.
In east and central parts of Azerbaijan there can be noticed the presence of subtropical weather that is generally dry. The southern part of the country also has subtropical weather but there it is marked by the presence of humidity. In the mountain areas of Azerbaijan the weather is influenced by the presence of Alps. Winter and summer temperature varies according to the climatic regions here. |
