Museums in Kyrgyzstan are many and they are the most valuable treasures of the country. Bishkek has some of the world’s famous museums. The historical museum is a very famous museum in Bishkek. Earlier it was called the Lenin museum. The museum displays the political and the social culture of Kyrgyzstan. This museum has a statue of Lenin and a panting which shows a wedding being attended by the Soviet Union nationalities. The rock and stone paintings from Saimaly-Tash, objects of the Bronze age, golden artifacts of Chui Valley's Shamshyn tomb and Turkish stone collections are just some of the specialties of the museum in Bishkek.
Mueum of Fine Arts in Kyrgyzstan mainly features the common life of the Kyrgyz people. The museum has huge collection of sculptures, drawings and paintings of the traditional Kyrgyz people. Replicas of Greek, Egyptian and classical western sculptures are also found here. The museum also holds temporary exhibitions for the guests.
Frunze Museum in Kyrgyzstan is devoted to Mikhail Frunze’s career and life. Tinibek Sadykov Museum, though a small one has works of Tinibek Saykov, the Kyrgyz monumental sculptor. The Aaly Tokombaev Museum is dedicated to the life and the work of Tokombaev who was a great poet and composer.
