Manas Museum is dedicated to the great hero Manas who tried to build a place for his subjects. The Manas Museum in Bishkek holds exhibitions on "Manas Reciters" who recite stanzas of Manas story in a conventional style. The museum has yurts with beautiful wood carving and art work of the period. This museum in Kyrgyzstan also has video which shows the ceremonies of "MANAS 1000".Manas was a great hero who was born in Talas region. He dedicated his life to fighting for a homeland for his people. Manas spent his whole life fighting battles for his people. Manas was married to Kanykei and had a daughter Semetei. Mana was killed in a battle and his family was expelled from the kingdom. Every thing built by Manas was totally destroyed. One of the most important museums of Kyrgyzstan, Manas museum is helpful for the future generation to know about their great hero.
