Schools in Kyrgyzstan are the educational institutions where the children are provided with the basic education. According to the constitution, education in Kyrgyzstan has become compulsory up to grade 9. The various government and private

The
school education programmes in Kyrgyzstan can be classified into the following categories:
- Pre-school education
The pre-school education is provided at the Infant Schools in Kyrgyzstan and Kindergarten Schools in Kyrgyzstan. The children of 1.5 to 3 years old attend the infant schools and the children of 3 to 7 years old attend the kindergarten schools.
- School education
The school education is divided intro three separate levels:
- Primary education – it is the first stage of school education, which is provided to the children aging between 6 to 11 years. It covers grade 1 to 4.
- Secondary education – the secondary education is the second stage of school education. It starts from grade 5 and continues till grade 9.
- High school education – the last stage of school education is known as the high education. The education is given from grade 10 to 11 to the students who are 15 to 17 years old.
Curriculum at Kyrgyzstan Schools
The courses at most of the schools in Kyrgyzstan include subject matters like Kyrgyz language and literature, mathematics, science, art, cultural studies, music, physical education, Russian, English and all.
The Aga Khan School in Osh and the Bishkek International School are two very popular schools in Kyrgyzstan. Apart from the several general education schools there are several military schools located in many parts of the country.
