Kuwait Radio



Kuwait Radio services constitute one of the most important media and entertainment services in the country that has been successfully running ever since the introduction of Huna Al in 1951. During those times, radio transmission was conducted from the Naif Palace with a 0.5 kw transmitter until the invasion of Iraq in the 1990s. The Kuwait radio transmissions were resumed from Saudi Arabia and relocated back to Kuwait immediately after driving out Saddam Hussein's forces from Kuwait's soil. The Kuwait Radio transmission stations include Al-Jeewan, Kabd and Al-Makawa.

Kuwait Radio broadcasting is done in both Arabic and English language to reach out to a wide range of audience both inside and outside Kuwait. Radio transmission is done in all three frequencies, AM, FM and SW. The best of modern broadcasting technologies are followed. The Kuwaiti radio station is now among the best in south-east and the most organized among all Middle East radio networks. Several of these radio channels also come with websites and hence can be availed online. The Kuwait radio services are now under the aegis of the communication ministry of the country.

The Kuwait Amateur Radio Society (Kars)

The Kuwait Amateur Radio Society, incorporated in the year 1979, is the national society of Kuwait which is established with the objective of training interested people on the various aspects of radio networking and broadcasting. This way it opens up communication possibilities in the international market.
